I love Dungeons and Dragons. It is a game of pure imagination where the players are collaborative authors of an amazing adventure.
I loved the idea of creating jewelry with a D20. I looked around for what's on the market and found that most designs involve drilling holes to the die, so the die cannot be used anymore. I started to look for a way to make D20 jewelry without destroying the die. I was working with some designs with long glass tubes and came across an idea to make a icosahedron shape. I started to find a way to enclose a D20. I then finally came to the idea of using magnets to create opening that can be repeatedly opened and closed. I posted an image of my creation on reddit end of Aug, 2018. It was a huge hit and I've been creating improved versions ever since. |
